Portrait Appeal

Summer is such a busy time and I would love to post more, as at the moment, it looks like I'm not doing much. Last week was a fantastic week for portraits and I was shooting with a Bronica, not got the results back yet, but I will share with you a couple of my favorite digital pictures.

First this picture is two sisters by the fire. Max the sister on the right is one of my regular people to photograph and can be seen in many of my projects. My best friends mother, who is a friend in her own right has been a great artistic mentor. When going through an artists block with my work, she gave me a copy of 'The Artists Way' and although I'm still on chapter two has been a great tool and I recommend it to anyone.

The next picture is my friend Neil who was visiting from Eugene.

Thought it was nice to put a snap of the view he was looking at.

The next stop off was to meet another Jen, whom I met in Mexico. She has rediscovered her love of painting and creative expression after being in the corporate world for many years. Jen commissioned me to take a portrait of a young girl on holiday with her Grandad as she felt inspired to paint her picture. Taralynn's portrait is very beautiful and Jen would like some for photos for inspiration, so I will be creating some very special images over the next few months and hopefully this weekend at the solstice, so hope to share the results with you.
